Prioritising Yourself: Emma Makepeace’s Journey to Intentional Living
In a world that often glorifies hustle and busy-ness, it can be difficult to find the balance between achieving success and taking care of ourselves. Emma Makepeace, an Alignment Coach and founder of Makepeace Lifestyle, has made it her mission to help women prioritise self-care, set healthy boundaries, and let go of perfectionism in order to live more intentional and fulfilling lives.
Emma’s journey towards spiritual and personal awareness began early on, when she was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as a teenager. Her journey led her to travel and gain qualifications, even working on a PhD. But a roadblock laid down by the Universe brought her to a place of healing, where she put into practice the tools and resources she had gathered over the years. It was during this time of healing that she also experienced fertility issues and was diagnosed with Endometriosis and Hashimoto’s Disease, leading her to re-evaluate the pressures and unrealistic expectations we place on our bodies and on each other.
Despite these challenges, Emma has achieved notable success as an award-winning coach and author of “Encircle: Self and Collective Care for Mummas.” Her Find Your Flow Program has helped many women to reconnect with themselves and prioritise their self-care. As a certified trauma-informed life coach”and yoga teacher, Emma has learned firsthand the importance of paying attention to our bodies and setting healthy boundaries. She shares this wisdom with others, encouraging them to let go of perfectionism and hustle culture.
Looking towards the future, Emma’s big vision for her life and business is to continue to embody intentional living. She aspires to be living on a catamaran, travelling the world and supporting other women to simplify, accept themselves, and make peace with their own lives. Through her work and message, Emma hopes to reach a broader audience and connect them with the importance of self-care, boundary setting, and letting go of perfectionism.
Emma Makepeace’s story is a reminder that self-care and intentional living are not just buzzwords, but essential practices for living a fulfilling and purposeful life. We can all learn from her journey and strive towards a healthier, more balanced approach to success and well-being.
